  The Yellow river watershed has suffered a continuous flood about four thousand years ago. There were many people homeless there. King Yao(a legendary monarch in ancient China) ordered Gun to control water. Gun adopted a strategy of damming , but the water level had risen and the river water broke through its banks.He finally failed.
  King Shun sent Dayu(the son of Gun) to control water.Dayu adopted a different strategy from his father.His method was dredging the sluggish river. He lead people to work day and night His water-control method were very productive and the water level had decreased rapidly.People were finally safe.After that ,he was elected as the King.
