1.You should never give a present of the followings to your Chinese friend:
Clock(not including watch),Handkerchief,Umbrella,Scissors. Anything white,blue or black.
2.The spout of a teapot is forbidden to face anyone .
3.Never stick your chopsticks straight into your bowl. Because people do this, when they offer a meal to their ancestors on the shrines. In Japan people also have the same taboo.
4.If you receive a gift from someone, you must not open it in front of them.
