First ancestor of Chinese ideograph

Today Annieli tours’s Beijing tour guide will tell you a story of Chinese ideograph . In the era of Yellow Emperor there was no Chinese ideograph in China. People always kept everything in their heads. Cangjie was one of Yellow Emperor’s subordinates. Because he was smart and hard-working, Yellow Emperor sent him to manage animals and food. He did his work very well. But animals grew as more and more, he could not remember all the things using his brain. He began to worry about managing the animals.
He was thinking about how to solve the problem everyday. He tried to remember animal’s species and quantity using knotted ropes. (to be continued)
