Tiemenguan pass is another important pass along the Great Wall of China. If one man guards the pass, ten thousand are unable to get through. The pass’s name is proportional to its terrain. When people hear the name , they have a solid feel.So the local people are very proud of the name.
But many people do not know why it is called Tiemenguan pass.This story dates back 2000 years.The story happened in the Spring and Autumn Period, the Warring States Period, the Qin and the Han Dynasties. Many states were building Great Wall of China at that time.
