Why Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses are called Eight Wonder of the World?

Let me begin by Li Guangyao visiting China. He was the first foreign head of a state who visited Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses.After visiting the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, he was very excited and said “It is the wonder of the world”. In 1978, French President Jacques Chirac visited it and highly appraise it “the Eight Wonder of the World”. The former vice-president ,Walter Mondale,said, “It is the great marvel of the world.Everyone should come to have a look at the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horse.”Then a reporter from Xinhua agency wrote an article entitled “Visit the Eight Wonder of the World, see Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses”. From this time forth Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses were called Eight Wonder of the World.
