Emperor Kangxi made an inspection tour to Great Wall of China,but was pull down from his horse. Just then,Emperor’s bodyguard leaped into action and had guards arrested in order to protect Emperor Kangxi. Because Emperor Kangxi was a person with enlightenment, the guards were released. When Emperor Kangxi was about to leave, he glanced back to see the Timianguan,exclaimed “What a good Tiemenguan(solid City- gate)!” From this time forth, Timianguan had been renamed to Tiemenguan.
