Jingshan Park
Jingshan Park is an artificial hill , consist of individual peaks, there is an elaborate pavilion on the top of each peak. Each pavilion used to hold a copper Buddha statue symbolizing one of the 5 kinds of tastes:sweet, acrid ,sour, bitter and salty. The pavilion of Everlasting Spring on the top of the middle hill was ever the highest point in the city and offers fantastic views of Beijing center.Emperor Chongzhen, the last emperor of the Ming Dynasty, committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree here in 1644. When you walk into the front gate of the park, you can see the Qiwang Pavilion.
