The second largest salt lake in China, Namtso Lake means "the Heavenly Lake" in the Tibetan language. It was born in the Paleogene age, as a result of Himalayan tectonic plate movements. The lake lies at an elevation of 4718m, covers an area of 1920 square kilometers.In Tibetan, Namtso means "Heavenly Lake." Coming to Namucuo, you can feel unique air of mountain and feel unique astomosphere of religious culture. Every year pilgrims spend summer there, unable to return shore again until the eater freezes the following winter.
