Jiuzhaigou Valley
Jiuzhaigou Valley is a nature reserve and national park located in northern Sichuan Province of southwestern China, and it is part of the Min Mountains on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau and stretches over 72000 hectares. It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls,colorful lakes, and snow-capped peaks. Its elevation ranges from 2000 to 4500 metres. Historically, Jiuzhaigou has been home to small population of Tibetan and Qing people, and provides a good opportunity to get to know more about the locals' unique life and culture. The name Jiuzhaigou refers to the 9 Tibetan villages that are situated in the valley.
