Sangke Prairie is located in the west of Xiahe County, Gansu Province. Sangke Prairie is meadow-steppe .It is well known for its beautiful pasture and frequent wonderful Buddhist ceremonies. Sangke prairie is 3000 meters high and takes an area of 70 square km. It is covered by flourish green grass and beautiful flowers, the sky as well as mountains is reflected in the Daxia River which flows through grass and earth quietly. Sheep. Yaks, and white tents give you an excellent picture of the nature.Visitors on the horse back or by bicycle are wandering on the pasture with good mood. Staying overnight with a local family or renting a tent is not a bad idea, you can enjoy Tibetan food, for instance, yak-butter tea here.
