Annie is a college educated English major which she has perfected by watching American TV. She has a very good sense of humor and is a fun person to travel with.
Annie makes all my travel reservation in China. This includes air, train, car and even bus travel. She has also made my hotel reservation too and I have never had a problem and I have been in some very out of the way and interesting places.
She can take you to all the must see places in Beijing, Forbidden City, Great Wall, Tienanmen Square, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven or make show reservations for you to see the acrobatic circus.
Hungry? She can take you to watch your noodles being made for dinner, or if you’re home sick to a good American food restaurant that is only in China.
Want to see Shanghai? Travel with her on the high speed train and visit the famous waterfront, The Bund, Qibao Ancient Town or see the city at night from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Go to Bar Street and see a jazz band just like you were there in the 1930’s, well almost.
Xi'an? Fly there and a car will be waiting to take you to a beautiful city where you can ride a bike on Xi'an’s City’s 600 year old wall and the next day a driver will take you to the Terracotta Warriors. If you have time stop by Huaqing Hot Spring, or visit one of the oldest building’s in China the Big Goose Pagoda.
Annie is a wonderful and thoughtful guide who knows her history very well but that’s not the best part. She has been all over China. She has taken me to some of the out of the way places that most tourists don’t go.
Here are a few places she has taken me that I can recommend.
Hangzhou- Marco Polo said it’s the most beautiful city he had seen and I think he may be right. There is the West Lake and tea gardens with a special tea that is only harvested at a certain time. A day trip form there are the Yellow Mountains which are best described as a mystical place, a must see.
Kunming- With its Stone Forest, World Expo Garden’s and flower and pet markets.
Guiyang- A wonderful climate and is near Huangguoshu waterfalls and Tianhetan a pleasant cave, canal and waterfall park, think Blue Grotto in China.
If you can tell her what you like she can recommend a place that you never knew existed and then make all the reservation to take you there. It’s hard to find someone like that, I know I have visited 33 countries and there is only one Annie.
