“Simply Outstanding”

I normally don’t use guides when traveling abroad, but Annie came highly recommended through a mutual acquaintance so my wife and I elected to retain her services for a day tour of the Great Wall. And were we delighted to have made that decision. Instead of going to a section of the wall that was overrun with tourists and vendors, we visited the Great wall at Mutianyu, which was ideal. Although farther from Beijing, Mutianyu is relatively uncongested and the scenery and views are quite spectacular. Besides helping us to make the perfect choice of venues, Annie was the consummate professional during our time with her. Her English was impeccable and she had a vast knowledge of the Chinese tourist attractions that she was most eager to share. My only regret was that we didn’t have her accompany us to the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City, since the quality of those experiences would have been immeasurably enhanced. We won’t make a similar mistake on our next visit, which will hopefully be soon.
